Chili Dog Pie

This is one of my go-to recipes, especially for lunches when I don't know what to make and don't want to spend a long time in the kitchen. It's also easy enough that our girls can mix it together if the meat is prepped!

Chili Dog Pie

1 lb ground beef ( Azure Highlands grassfed and finished beef is great!)

Garlic & onions to fry with meat if desired

1 tsp chili powder

1/8 tsp pepper

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp yellow mustard

1 cup pizza sauce or salsa

8 hotdogs, sliced in rounds (I sub in some of our breakfast sausage, cut up)

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup plain Greek or regular yogurt

1/4 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown hamburger with onion and garlic. Stir in seasonings, mustard, pizza sauce, sliced hotdogs, and half of the cheese. Spread in a greased 9x13 inch pan. Beat the eggs well, whisk in mayo, yogurt and cream. Beat until smooth. Stir in the remaining cheese and pour over the meat mixture and spread even. Bake for 30-35 minutes.

We eat it just like this as a stand alone for lunch or with cabbage or carrot salad for dinner. Let me know if you try it!
